Sildenafil Citrate is a widely recognized and prescribed medication for erectile dysfunction. It belongs to a class of drugs known as phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. Sildenafil is taken orally, usually as needed, approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour before anticipated sexual activity, although it can be taken up to 4 hours before. It should also be used with caution in individuals with certain cardiovascular conditions, severe liver or kidney impairment, or a history of priapism.
